KHANATLAS

Frequently Asked Questions

Discover the world of KhanAtlas

What is KhanAtlas?

A global multilingual platform connecting specialist product knowledge with the discovery of countries, cultures, producers, companies and markets, inspired by historic khans as meeting places for knowledge and trade.

Why the name KhanAtlas?

“Khan” represents a meeting place for merchants, travelers and knowledge. “Atlas” represents the world map, its countries, products and markets. Together they express a global meeting place for knowledge and trade.

Which khans does the platform cover?

We begin with tea, honey, saffron and grains, sharing a common foundation for knowledge, search and commercial discovery, with gradual expansion.

Is KhanAtlas an online store?

No. KhanAtlas is a knowledge and commercial discovery platform, not a store that sells products directly.

Is essential knowledge free?

Our model aims to make essential knowledge available without a paid subscription. Company services and commercial advertising will be offered separately when launched.

How is information organized?

We aim to collect and classify information, connect it to verifiable sources, and distinguish scientific evidence, historical uses and unverified claims.

How will KhanAtlas use AI?

Our vision includes AI-assisted search, organization, translation and discovery of relationships among products, sources, countries and markets. These features will launch gradually after testing.

Is the platform multilingual?

Yes. Multilingual support is part of the intended architecture, with content and services expanding in each language in stages.

Who is Hangi?

Hangi is KhanAtlas's host and planned intelligent guide to knowledge and trade.

The character draws inspiration from the Turkish hancı, a person responsible for a khan and its guests. The spelling “Hangi” is our character's brand name, not the historic Turkish spelling of hancı.

We envision Hangi helping visitors in their own language explore tea, honey, saffron and grains; understand products, origins, varieties and production countries; and discover companies, producers, suppliers, markets, exhibitions, news and trade-learning paths.

Hangi is intended to clarify information sources and distinguish evidence from claims and advertisements. Hangi is planned and has not yet launched.

Can companies claim profiles for free?

When the directory launches, basic profile claims, verification of representation and correction of core details will be free. Expanded management, featured visibility and advertising will be separate services.

Do advertisements influence information rankings?

Advertising must not be confused with independent knowledge results or organic company rankings. Promotional material will be clearly labeled.

Will there be exhibitions, news and trade education?

Our roadmap includes trade-learning paths, specialist exhibition information and sector and market news with documented sources and dates.

Are all services available now?

No. KhanAtlas is launching in stages, and unavailable sections and services will be identified as such.
